Derek Paterno

Derek Paterno (a.k.a. Derek Dooley) will be coaching from the Coaches Box this Saturday night in Starkville when the Vols take on Mississippi State.  Dooley underwent successful surgery to repair a fractured hip on Tuesday, according to a press release by the University of Tennessee.  Dooley had been experiencing pain in his hip for the last couple of months.  He went for an MRI last week and it was discovered that he had a fracture.

The Paterno reference goes back to the multiple injuries Joe Paterno used to suffer while he was coaching at Penn State.  Paterno frequently sat in the Coaches Box during games.  Obviously, Dooley is no Joe Paterno.  That man actually won some big games.  Although, he did have a bad ending to his career.  If the Vols don’t win this Saturday, you could see a bad ending to Derek Paterno’s career at Tennessee.

Negative Nease is a 2009 graduate of The University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a degree in Recreation Administration. He currently works in the Recreation industry and loves every minute of it (cough, cough). Negative Nease is a huge University of Tennessee fan and supporter. Negative Nease is a season ticket holder for UT Football and has missed only one home game since the 2000 season. His close friends and acquaintances call him "Negative" because he is constantly criticizing UT for poor performances and decisions both on and off the field. Negative Nease wants UT to succeed and be the best A.D. in the SEC and America, but he will call them out when they are falling behind.
