ON THE FIRST DAY OF CHRISTMAS

As promised today starts Day 1 of the 12 days of Christmas SEC Style!

On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me: One Rematch

Luckily, our true loves really love us. They set up a rematch for the BCS National Championship game. I am not sure that the city of New Orleans has seen anything like what is about to hit the town. This National Championship game may rival Mardi Gras for the party in New Orleans, and ticket prices that have not been seen before. January 9, 2012 will be a rematch with #1 LSU and #2 Alabama, competing for the National Championship. No matter how good and deserving Mike Gundy and his Oklahoma State Cowboys believe to be, they could not get it done in November against Iowa State. The loss to Iowa State had a bar in Knoxville, TN rejoicing. What these SEC fans realized was that loss pretty much guaranteed a rematch. You can bet this game will be better than the 9-6 overtime game that you watched earlier in the year. That game was a strategic battle between two coaches who knew a close loss would help them get back to the title game. I would expect this game to be another defensive battle, but with a higher score. Do you really think the Madhatter will play this one conservatively? No chance. Expect a 24-21 type game that will have both teams pulling out tricks. The rematch also guarantees the SEC with its 6th straight National Championship. This game gives all SEC fans across the country bragging rights for one more year. We could go on for days about the rematch with all the story lines. Just be thankful that on Day 1 our true loves gave us the rematch people have been talking months about and will continue to talk about after it is played.

Be sure to look for day 2 tomorrow.
